Arriving by car

Whether from the city or the lakeside, you can reach the Ludwig Royal in about two hours. And then: nature, wellness, and a warm welcome to the Allgäu.

From Stuttgart – off on the Swabian Route to happiness

Take the A8 towards Ulm, then the A7 towards Kempten, and at the Allgäu interchange, continue onto the A980. Take the B19 towards Immenstadt and then simply follow the signs to Oberstaufen/Steibis. You'll be there in about two hours—holiday feeling included.

From Munich – out of the hustle and bustle, into the Allgäu

Let's do it: Take the A96 towards Lindau, then continue on the B19 towards Immenstadt at Waltenhofen. Then simply follow the signs towards Oberstaufen/Steibis and you're almost there. In about two hours, the city vibe will transform into a mountain idyll – we promise!

From Zurich – from the lake to the mountains, without jet lag

Once across the border, you're already in vacation mode: Take the A1 towards St. Gallen, then the A13 to the Oberriet exit. Continue to Oberstaufen via Altstätten – or take the A3/A96 via Lindau, depending on traffic. You'll be there in just over two hours, so Swiss precision also helps with the start of your vacation!

From the Bavarian capital, you can head towards Allgäu in a relaxed manner: In just about 1 hour and 45 minutes The train takes you directly from Munich Central Station to Oberstaufen – without any transfers.
