General Questions

The hotel accepts common payment methods such as cash, debit cards and credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard.

Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before arrival. Cancellations made between 7 and 70 days before arrival will incur a 90% cancellation fee. Cancellations made one day before arrival will incur a XNUMX% cancellation fee.

Yes, when you book online through the website, you're guaranteed the best price. You won't find a cheaper deal anywhere.

Yes, in the event of a last-minute cancellation or trip interruption, we recommend the comprehensive travel protection from ERGO Reiseversicherung AG. The Germany travel cancellation insurance costs €27 with a deductible and €39 without.

The hotel can be reached by car or train. The nearest train station is in Oberstaufen. Arriving by plane is also an option, as Friedrichshafen and Memmingen airports are approximately 60 minutes away. The Ludwig Royal is about a two-hour drive from Munich, Stuttgart, and Zurich.

Pets are welcome upon request. There is a surcharge of €30 per pet per night.

The hotel itself does not yet have charging stations, but charging stations for electric cars are available 800m from the hotel.

Parking is available outside the hotel free of charge, use of the underground car park costs 12 € per day

Yes, vouchers can be purchased through the voucher shop on the hotel website.

For sustainability reasons, a brochure about the hotel is no longer available. However, a wellness brochure with the various treatments is available for download.

There's a loyalty program where guests receive a 3% discount on the regular price for up to 5 stays, 8% for up to 10 stays, and 8% for 15 or more stays. Please speak to our reception staff about this.

Yes, there is a newsletter for which you can here can register.

Please feel free to contact us for special offers or equipment for allergy sufferers.

Yes, there is fair-weather insurance. Take out the insurance easily and receive up to €300 in reimbursement for each rainy day.
How it works.

Around the hotel

The hotel offers numerous inclusive services, including use of the spa area, breakfast until 11 a.m., a welcome drink, Wi-Fi, and a wellness bag in your room. Depending on your booking, a lunch snack and dinner menu are also included.

Breakfast is included with every booking and is served from 07:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. You have the option to add breakfast on the day of arrival for €29 per person.

There are no holiday apartments in the hotel, but there are spacious Suites offered.

The hotel restaurant is open from 12:00 to 23:00.

Culinary delights are important to us – even for individual needs. If you have any minor allergies or intolerances, please let us know before your arrival. We are also happy to accommodate requests for vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, or gluten-free dishes. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a customized menu for short-notice requests. Please understand that we cannot accept responsibility for life-threatening allergies.

The hotel has meeting rooms for up to 20 people. Please contact us for further information.

Yes, the hotel has the Eagles Bar, where you can end the evening.

Summer and winter activities

Yes, you can borrow Nordic walking poles free of charge at reception. Our poles are suitable for both summer and winter use on snow and ice, and they can be easily folded and stored in your backpack.

Yes, you can borrow our hiking and picnic backpacks free of charge at reception. If you'd like to have a picnic, we'll be happy to provide you with picnic dishes, a bottle cooler, and a picnic blanket so you can truly enjoy your picnic. Of course, you can also order Bavarian snacks or other picnic treats from us—please ask at reception about our special offers.

The region offers numerous hiking opportunities right on your doorstep. For more information and recommendations, please feel free to contact our team.

Yes, there are two golf courses in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. In addition, there are 19 golf courses in the surrounding area where you, as a hotel guest, receive up to 20% off green fees.

There are opportunities to rent bicycles or e-bikes in the area around the hotel.

There are many excursion destinations around the hotel, such as Neuschwanstein Castle, the Buchenegger Waterfalls or the Alpsee Mountains and many more.

Neuschwanstein Castle is about an hour away from the Ludwig Royal. Since July 2025, Neuschwanstein Castle has officially been a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Another reason to visit this dream destination—it's not just a landmark, but also a piece of world history!

The hotel is located directly at the ski lift and in the immediate vicinity of the local mountains Hochgrat and Imberg, both of which are equipped with gondola lifts.

Yes, there is a ski school in the immediate vicinity that offers lessons for skiing or snowboarding.

Yes, there is a ski rental shop just 150m from the hotel.

Yes, depending on the snow conditions, there are fantastic cross-country ski trails in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Around the rooms

Check-in is possible from 16:00 PM to 21:00 PM, check-out is until 10:00 AM.

Early check-in or late check-out is available upon request and subject to availability for direct bookings. It is recommended to coordinate this with the hotel in advance.

The hotel offers limited accessibility and is therefore only partially accessible to guests with disabilities. Contact our team and we will try to find you a suitable room.

All rooms at the hotel have a balcony or terrace.

A baby cot or extra bed is available for an additional charge of €29 per night. This should be requested when booking your room.

The rooms are equipped with a minibar, safe, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and offer bathrobes and slippers for the wellness area.

No, there are no connecting rooms. For families, we recommend booking one of our spacious suites or two adjoining rooms.

Room cleaning is provided daily. Daily cleaning can be waived upon request. Please notify reception.

Room preferences will be accommodated whenever possible for direct bookings. We recommend that you indicate such requests when booking.

Spa & wellness area

The adults-only spa "Ludwig meets Buddha" is open daily until 22:00 PM. The relaxation and sauna area opens at 11:00 AM, and the pools at 8:00 AM.

The 2.000 m² wellness area includes an indoor pool, whirlpool, various saunas (Finnish sauna, bio sauna), steam baths, infrared cabins, relaxation rooms and a hotel park with an outdoor pool and sunbathing lawn.

Yes, use of the spa and wellness area is included in the room rate for hotel guests.

The hotel features a professional gym with Power Plates. Yoga classes are also available; please inquire at reception for times.

The separate adults-only area may be used by those aged 16 and over.

No advance reservation is required for the general spa area. For massages and beauty treatments, please make appointments at reception in advance (preferably before your arrival).

Yes, there is both an outdoor pool in the hotel park and an indoor whirlpool.

Bathrobes, towels and slippers are provided in the rooms.

There's a general area that can also be used by families, as well as a separate adults-only area. There's no separate area for women.

The spa area can also be used by day guests upon request.

Yes, it is possible to spend a day at the day spa in the Allgäu.
For a day of relaxation, our 2.000 m² wellness world is available as part of various day spa packages.

It is recommended to book treatments in advance to ensure availability, but of course booking on site is also possible.
