Ski out & in" at the Ludwig Royal. With over 50 kilometres of slopes, Oberstaufen is one of the best German ski resorts. The Ludwig Royal is located directly at the entrance to the Steibis ski arena. Here you will find, among other things, an 8-person gondola lift, 6-person chair lift, ski school, fun park and rustic huts. And best of all: our "winter packages" include the ski pass for the Imbergarena.

Tourers and freeriders will find their paradise on the Hochgrat. And on the Hündle you can follow in the footsteps of the World Cup winners: the first ever Ski World Cup took place here 50 years ago.

Or you can go on a ski safari to the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald, the "Skischaukel Damüls-Mellau-Faschina".

Winter experiences at the Ludwig Royal

Cross-country skiing, snow hiking, horse-drawn sleighs

Winter hiking with or without snowshoes, enjoying captivating views and stopping off in one of the rustic alpine huts. You have 10 suggestions for winter hikes from 45 minutes to 4 hours at your disposal. 15 snowshoe tours off cleared hiking trails from easy to difficult invite you. And best of all: anyone can go snowshoeing - no previous experience is required.

Sledding fun for the whole family is offered by the Imberg at an altitude of over 1225 metres. A special experience is the night tobogganing with evening lighting or the Unterlauch run from the Hochgrat with 6 kilometres of racy fun. On a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride for two or with the whole family, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the winter fairytale landscape. On the ice rink at the Glashaus in Oberstaufen you can skate, play ice hockey or prove your skills at curling. Afterwards, relax on the terrace at the Glashaus or enjoy the warm winter sun.
